The Villarreal Force Academy is a division of the Fayetteville Soccer Club (FSC) that provides a variety of youth and adult soccer programs to the Cumberland County area.  FSC is affiliated with the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association, the United States Youth Soccer Association, and US Club Soccer.  The club is comprised of a recreation soccer program, adult league program, and "travel team" divisions. FSC is home to over 1,000 players.

Fayetteville Soccer Club (FSC) was formed in 1994, and incorporated, as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, in 2007. FSC’s mission is to facilitate the growth and development of soccer in the Fayetteville area; by promoting the value of playing and participating in soccer, as a lifetime sport, while teaching the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and success, on and off the field. 

In 2019, Fayetteville Soccer Club partnered with Villarreal CF from Spain to form the Villarreal Force Academy for its Youth Academy and Travel Soccer Programs. 

The links below will explain how the Villarreal Force Academy will incorporate multiple levels and strategies to help each athlete become a better player. The ultimate goal is to allow every player to be the best, at whatever level of soccer they choose. Thus, the measure of success is within the player development cycle.

Villarreal Force Academy Tryouts

Tryout Philosophy:

Each age group will have two (2) tryout sessions. Each player is expected, but not mandated, to make both sessions. If you cannot participate in both, it is the player’s responsibility to contact the coach of the age group or Director of Coaching and relay that message. If not, there will be a good chance that the coach will think you are not interested and give your spot to another player.

Secondly, the club’s philosophy going forward is to have as many players as possible playing in their true age groups. But we will not stop you from trying out “up”. We will be setting up tryouts so that every other year will be on different nights; making it easier to participate in both. With that said, it will be up to the coaches and ultimately the Director of Coaching to make the decision on whether or not your player will be placed “up” in any age group.

If you decide to tryout “up”, you are still expected to tryout in your own age group. If you only come to the older team’s tryout, and not your true age, and do not make the team at the older age, there WILL NOT be a spot saved for you at your true age. You MUST attend your true age at least once to assure that you will at least be considered for both teams.

In order to complete your registration and ensure player eligibility, it is important that all of the "Registration Forms and Steps" are completed:

For participation, all players are required to register online, registration is at the bottom of this page, and upload a copy of their players birth certificate. If you are a returning player, we should have a birth certificate on file and there is no need to supply a new one. Birth certificates can be uploaded when you're completing the player registration.

Walk-ups are accepted on the day of Tryouts but it is highly recommended you register beforehand to ensure you are able to have a quick Check-in process.  If you are choosing the "Walk-up" registration, there will be a form you will need to complete, pay for the $30 Tryout Fee, and provide a Copy of your players Birth Certificate.  If you do not have your players Birth Certificate, they will NOT be able to participate in tryouts.

For Returning players, all account balances, including the following: recreation fees, travel/youth academy fees, tournament fees, and/or sibling fees, MUST be paid in FULL before you are allowed to try out.  If you have a past due balance of any kind, you WILL NOT be allowed to try out.  To help ensure a quick "Check-in Process", please visit your account homepage and check your account balance.
